You know, life is strange. You never know what is around the bend from one day to the next. It’s always an adventure. A friend of mine showed me a photo this morning that he took while he and his wife were out walking the streets of Los Angeles this past weekend. Granted, his photo has he in one and her in another (in the center), but I found a few online without anyone in them by Collette Miller and thought I would share it. Seeing the photos below and knowing that this individual is going around town painting such great angel wings is fabulous. Some call it “graffiti” and some call it “art.” Title them what you want, but I believe they bring peace, happiness, light, and a smile to everyone’s face when they see them. Things happen for a reason I believe and here you go, Angel Wings by Colette Miller.
Everyone at some time in their lives have something going on that he or she need to be reminded that they are not alone. You are, in fact, being looked out for and over by your Angels. Whether you believe me or not, everyone has an Angel looking over them. They might be in a higher realm or they might be your best friend or co-worker. But, just know that in some way, shape, or form, we all have Angels in our lives. So, stop whatever you are doing, take a minute to sit quietly, relax and just be in the present mind-set. Enjoy the peace around you while you breathe deep breaths in and out with the thoughts of your Angel looking over. Think and feel positive with the trust and love that you are never really alone.
Before I was diagnosed the Cancer back in 2009, I worked out at my usual pace. I would do my running in the evenings as well as my home workouts here and there or tried joining a gym, but that never lasted. The gym part anyway. Once I got sick, I really missed all that I could do before. I couldn’t wait to be able to get outside and walk/run again or do a bit more cardio than I was doing. I missed it. I say all this because now, now that I am healthier and in a better place both psychically and mentally, I REALLY love going to my workouts daily. By daily I mean I workout 6 out of 7 days a week! I am able to release the stress of the work day and other things at my workouts and most importantly, I can push myself to go beyond my breaking point because deep down, I know I can and I am worth the push! My life, my heart, and my soul are worth the extra push.
It might take time to find your one true passion. It took me a long time to find mine and I could not do it with out my Coaches there at Gracie Barra Burbank, ToughGirl Bootcamp! Everyone there is so nice with such big hearts and the willingness to help you achieve your goals and then, surpass them.
So, take the time, find a great workout that you enjoy and then dig in! Go for it and push yourself harder than you did before. You’re worth it! I know I am!
Happy Day ALL! Today, like all days, is a day to say thank you for this beautiful weather (whether it is rain or shine), for your family, friends, four legged children, and life in general. I know at times you might not want to go out and do your workout, go to work, or even get out and meet people, but – remember that this day like all days is precious and should be enjoyed. So, just do it! Get out there and enjoy this day. Trust me, once you get out and smell the coffee and fresh air, you’ll be glad you did. I hope everyone had a great weekend and thus have a great week.
There is a give and take in life with all things, especially within yourself. Find the right balance in all things, especially with work, fun and exercise and you have the recipe for happiness. Work – because you need the funds so that you can go have that Fun and get the Exercise you need while enjoying yourself.
“what is joy without sorrow? what is success without failure? what is a win without a loss? what is health without illness? you have to experience each if you are to appreciate the other. there is always going to be suffering. it’s how you look at your suffering, how you deal with it, that will define you.”
― Mark Twain
“The major work of the world is not done by geniuses. It is done by ordinary people, with balance in their lives, who have learned to work in an extraordinary manner.”
― Gordon B. Hinckley
Thank you for reading. May you enjoy a blessed day. Cheers!
I have always had curly hair. It used to be so long, to the middle of my back. I loved it long and curly. But, then I got sick. Breast Cancer they told me. When the time came and I started my chemotherapy, I told my husband I wanted to cut my hair off myself. Shave my head I said! I was not about to let Cancer take or decide when I lost my hair. It was going to be on my terms. And with that, we went outside and he shaved my head and then, he shaved his. We were a matched pair! My hair has since grown back, but never that long. These days I don’t much care about how long my hair is or that I even have it. Because hair, like life, is a gift. I know I am beautiful with or without hair. It’s not the hair that makes a person, it’s his or her inner being. Love yourself and let your beautiful light shine!
Thank you for taking the time to read my blog and posts. Cheers!!
They say in order to write well, you should write about what you know. This is what I know… My grandmother used to tell me “be careful what you wish for because in a blink of an eye you’ll be older and time will have gone by so quick, too quick.” When you’re younger, you don’t see it. But when you get older and you look back, you find yourself saying the same thing to your children, nieces and nephews. It’s funny, this thing called life. Some don’t cherish it as they should. Some, take it for granted without realizing what they are doing. When, in fact, life is a gift. Every morning when you open your eyes, stretch your limbs and love on your honey, children and/or your pets that are your children, this is a gift. Appreciate where you are, love yourself for who you are and by no means change yourself for anyone other than yourself. Love life and yourself for when you do it will spread to those around you.
Thank you for taking the time to read my blog and posts. Cheers!!!
I do not believe in a fate that falls on men however they act; but I do believe in a fate that falls on them unless they act.
Do not dwell in the past, do not dream of the future, concentrate the mind on the present moment.
The way is not in the sky. The way is in the heart.
The mind is everything. What you think you become.
A good friend who points out mistakes and imperfections and rebukes evil is to be respected as if he reveals a secret of hidden treasure.
What is the appropriate behavior for a man or a woman in the midst of this world, where each person is clinging to his piece of debris? What’s the proper salutation between people as they pass each other in this flood?
We are formed and molded by our thoughts. Those whose minds are shaped by selfless thoughts give joy when they speak or act. Joy follows them like a shadow that never leaves them.
Peace comes from within. Do not seek it without.
You yourself, as much as anybody in the entire universe, deserve your love and affection.
When one has the feeling of dislike for evil, when one feels tranquil, one finds pleasure in listening to good teachings; when one has these feelings and appreciates them, one is free of fear.
