~The Language of Trees~

Ye Olde Witch

~The Language of Trees~

The language of trees
Tells a story of ease
Showing beauty and grace
In a wonderful place

Where rich history thrives
Beneath sumptuous skies
And the birds sing of love
As they soar skies above

The language of trees speaks
Of summers and springs
Of daffodil trumpets
And quaint fairy rings

The swishing and swaying
Of leaves in the air
The whisper of lyrics
A poet must bare

The language of trees
Inspires humbling thoughts
They teach a man virtue
Bequeathing support

The ears of our minds sense
Each studious word
But lacking connection
Their songs go unheard

Each sapling, each branch
Throws a soul into trance
Granting life from itself
An elixir of health

Every bend, every bough
Pledges life to the ground
Verdant meadows are blessed
Where a tree roots its nest

The language of trees
Fills my heart and my soul
As I…

Shipwreck memories

Shipwreck memories

A Poem by Coyote Poetry

Just words.

                                     Shipwreck memories

The irony of a long life. We will know joy and sadness. We will have good days and bad days. We will want to live forever and we shall want to die in the moment.

Today I sit by Lake St. Clair. I’m surrounded by shipwreck memories.

I learn years ago by reading Jack London and Hemingway. We must test life to have lived. Must love many to know peace and never except little, when life is never-ending.

The irony of a dreamer is. He will forget his dreams and accept less. He will learn. You cannot return to the place he once knew.

Young writer sat with me. She asked. Is to love, life? I smiled and I kissed her forehead. I told her. Love is like walking on a tight rope without a safety net. Love…

Full Moon in Sagittarius 6-20-16

Readings by Yerevan

The Full Moon on June 20th is at the anaretic degree (29th) of Sagittarius, closely aligned with the Galactic Center. Suddenly after a period of stuckness, delays and limitations since late last year there are so many possibilities opening up and so much energy at our disposal that it can be tricky to know which way to go.

The Full Moon T-squares Chiron in Pisces which has been bringing up some very old wounds and painful memories during the past week that we may either feel overwhelmed by or finally ready to acknowledge and release. A lot of us are processing all that has radically changed for us during the past several months.

An opposition to Venus in Cancer increases desires whatever they may be and puts us in the mood for creature comforts. Here is where we may pause in the middle of our rugged voyage and reach for…

Mystery Monday with Christina Larmer

CALarmerBlogPicREDO_1What type of crime fiction do you write and why?

I like to call myself a ‘mystery writer’ because at the centre of every book I write—whether it’s a ‘cozy crime’ or a stand-alone adult novel—lies an intriguing mystery, one I hope my readers get a chance to solve. My most popular series is the Ghostwriter Mystery Series which features a feisty, Aussie amateur sleuth called Roxy Parker who swears and drinks a little too much for her own good. I have just written the second book in my best-selling Agatha Christie Book Club series, which is often dubbed a ‘cozy’. In each case, I provide readers with a complex puzzle and offer them all the clues (and a few red herrings) to help solve the crime.

Did anyone influence you / encourage you to become a writer?

I have to partially credit my parents because I grew up in…

Cleaning tips with Oliver & Nubia

Hi everyone,

It’s Oliver here today.

We all know how obsessed our humans can get with the whole cleaning regime! But they do seem to forget that WE are the cleaning experts. 😀

Oliver: So why they wouldn’t ask us for advice before their ventures in household cleaning only they know!

Nubia: I’m much more efficient at cleaning than yourself Mr Oli. 😮

Oliver: Anyhow… Let’s move on to the cleaning tips and tricks for humans!

Tip 1: Prevention!
Make sure your home is cat friendly to begin with. To avoid us kitties using alternative locations as litter boxes it’s best to clean the litterbox regularly and to have 1 extra box per cat. Meaning 2 cats you should have at least wo but ideally three litter boxes.

Tip 2: Keeping that box smell free!
You know we’ve got a sensitive nose right? Make sure you wash out our litter…

Today for my #NatureDoodlewash  “hike”  I went diving underwater 😉  I am going to share my watercolor of a beautiful sea creature a “ Seahorse“.  I love everything that has to do with ocean, sea and water and I enjoyed very much to paint the colorful beauty of this Seahorse.

Seahorse is the name given to 54 species of small marine fishes in the genus Hippocampus. “Hippocampus” comes from the Ancient Greek word hippos meaning “horse” and kampos meaning “sea monster”. The word “seahorse” is often written as two separate words, or hyphenated. Having a head and neck suggestive of a horse, seahorses also feature segmented bony armour, an upright posture and a curled prehensile tail.
