I celebrate and I honor my journey and victories. I celebrate and I honor my lessons learned. I celebrate and I honor myself. (Via Lisa Nichols)

Free yourself from anybody that isn’t making your life better.

Decide who in your life drains you of energy, delete them from your social media accounts, block them on your phone, just cut them out of your life.

All you need is a handful of terrific friends who bring you positivity and lift you up. Don’t keep negative people around out of habit, misplaced loyalty, or the desire to be everyone’s friend.

It can be toxic to listen to someone complain about the state of the world, while not doing anything to change it. Leave them be and never look back.

My Angels…

Ugly? Or Uniquely Beautiful?

Mitch Teemley

“So ugly they’re cute?” “Going through an awkward stage…just finding their style?” (See Before and After shots of humans.) Or uniquely beautiful? All of the above, actually. Because variety really is the spice of life–and the spice of life shelf goes on forever. Strangely beautiful, isn’t it?

A beautiful song and the words of the song.

I overlooked the orchid

I overlooked the orchid while searching for a rose.

The orchid I overlooked was you.

The rose that I was searching for was proved to be untrue.

The orchid, now I found, was you.

The orchid is a flower that blooms so tenderly,

to cheer the fairest lady of the land.

If placed beside the blushing rose,

the rose could not compare.

Now how time and wine taught me to understand.

The rose has lost its color but the orchid is still the same.

And I am alone to face the lonely year.

I didn’t see the orchid, I was searching for a rose.

And now I’ll pay the price with bitter tears.

I saw the sun in your eyes..

I saw the sun in your eyes
You and I,
we are dancing by the Monterey Bay,
I am singing words of love for you.
You asked me, Johnnie, why did you save me?
You were swimming in confusion and you taught me to laugh and to sing again.
I told her, I love your face, I love when your hair is wild and free, I love  when your  hair
is tightly in a hair bun.
I love when you sing lullabies to me in the midnight hours and I love how your mouth moved when you talk.
She laughed at my words and she smiled. She told him, you are the sweetest man, you love my imperfections. You make me feel worthwhile and care for.
I told her, you bewitched my heart every time I look at your face,
I see the sun in your eyes and you make…

Time to get real.

When we find ourselves in the same situation repeatedly as a result of our conditioned responses, we must stop and do a new thing. The situation may look different. The route we take there may be altogether different. The lesson we must learn does not change. Get honest! Pay attention! Change what you do to create a change for yourself!
