The Big C

As a cancer survivor, I usually find it very difficult to watch movies or shows that focus on cancer. When The Big C popped up on Netflix, though, I recognized the cast and thought, “Okay… let’s give it a try.” Before I knew it, I was completely drawn in—by the story, the characters, and the emotions they all experience. I ended up finishing all four seasons today. It probably took me about three to four days total. This isn’t a show for children due to the adult content, but it is absolutely worth watching. I was truly impressed by the storyline. As a person and/or survivor, it really makes you stop, think, and even rethink a lot.

  1. I’m 76 now and survived for decades with a minimum of suffering and sparse treatment or medicine. Am living alone. There’s fatigue but I feel like I’ve escaped something impossible from which to escape.
