Hungarian photographer Flora Borsi produced a stunning series of self-portraits “ANIMAEYED”. Each image is original in that girl’s right eye replaces the animal’s eyes. Even more surreal it gives the make-up and props to help the girl to be like the animals themselves. Creativity Flora is already known to the world: her work has been exhibited in the Louvre and the Saatchi Gallery.

When I read this quote the other day, I was able to resonate with it and thought it ideal for this weeks kindness challenge.
I often wondered why did it feel so natural to be sympathetic and kind to those we care about—yet so hard to treat ourselves in the same fashion? Why did it feel uneasy to say no to a family member or a colleague when I wasn’t up for the task? Perhaps I just didn’t feel like doing anything at that moment. Don’t I have that option?
We’ve been led to believe we’re selfish if we think about ourselves or if we give we’re going to look good to them.
I decided a few years ago to invoke self-compassion and kindness towards myself…

Intimate Enlightenment ~
My lovely Angels, good day to you all. I hope this message finds all my Angels well and are enjoying your Friday the 13th. It’s a beautiful day!
I wanted to write this for myself and to you all to send my apologies for not being there lately. As we all do, I have come across some rough times lately and struggle immensely with living in California (being so far away from our family and friends). My father had a double bypass (I couldn’t be there to assist) and my ex-husband ended up in the hospital wherein he passed away (I couldn’t be at the hospital when he was there). I did check in with my mom and dad as well as my brothers on my dad’s status, and he is doing well now. I just got back from a trip to Florida wherein I attended my ex-husband’s service and got to physically check on my parents. The service and visit was so much harder than I thought it would be. After many trips down memory lane, the closure I needed, and time with family, I know he is with the Angels now. We had been in each others lives in one way or the other (even though we had extremely bad times at the end) for 25 years. That’s a long time ~ we remained friends all this time. I always wished him well and happiness, having forgiven him and left all the other things behind. By doing that, I was able to move on and find the love of my life, Rob. Rob has been so tremendous and supportive that I don’t know how I got so lucky! 🙂
At the end of the day, it’s hard for me not to be able to be there (closer) for my family and friends as I have always been used to. I know that change is good, change can be great, and, it is. But for me, that change needs to be closer is all. My husband moved us out here to California and I am grateful for that because I have been able to see so much, do so much, and make great friends. Things that I probably would not have been able to do otherwise. For that, I am thankful.
I say all this just to say that we are not guaranteed the next hour, the next day, the next month, or the next year. It can all be gone so quickly, in the blink of an eye. So, my Angels – please live life to the fullest, live each moment as though it was your last. Because, you never really know. Keep your Warrior Within and go out in order to do something you normally would not. Be brave, be daring, be real!
Be Happy My Angels and know that You are ALL always in my prayers!

What an honor and a privilege to be able to attend such a magnificent, sacred, spiritual, and magickal show this weekend. I don’t usually share too much of myself, but the feelings, senses, honor, inner guidance and strength one gets from attending something like this is priceless. I took a few photos and wanted to share them with you all.
Though it was a rainy day, that made it even more magnificent. Between, the ocean, the rain, the drumming, the dancing, the chanting, and the beautiful men and women who came out to celebrate/perform, it truly was something priceless to experience.

Good afternoon All my Angels! I wanted to touch base with you and remind you and us all that exercise is key to a happy and healthy lifestyle. Any type of exercise, walking, jogging, weights, running, etc. Anything that gets you up off the couch and out of the house! So, with that said, I wanted share you all my “MoveWithHart” I attended yesterday, Sunday, April 10, 2016. Kevin Hart is quite a motivational individual and what he is doing with “MoveWithHart” and Nike is fabulous as it helps to get individuals out and moving.

I once went to an interview for a great job that I knew was perfect for me. After 15 years managing call centers, I knew there wouldn’t be many candidates (if any) with more experience or know-how than me.
I went to the interview letting negative thoughts creep into my head.
When the interviewer asked the very first question, the easiest question in the world if you ever worked in call centers, I drew a complete blank. The rest of the interview went poorly, because I never recovered from the first question.
I have never used my blog for book reviews.
However, I want to let everyone in on a little secret.

SURVIVOR & 69!
Horray! Is my Birthday again.
I’m 69 years old.
And I’m happy.
Why?
Because I’m alive.
Against the odds.
And I’m thankful for every day of my life.
The good days and the bad.
Because without the bad days I wouldn’t know the good.
I’m living my second life.
My second life started when I realized that I have only one. 🙂 .
And I like my second life much better than the first one.
One only way to avoid old age is to die young.
And aging is the only way to live long.
But we don’t want to die young, because we will never have a chance to enjoy the second life. 🙂 .
