Meditate on good things!

According to the words of  the apostle Paul,

“Finally brethren, whatever is true, whatever is honorable, whatever is just, whatever is pure, whatever is lovely, whatever is gracious, if there is any excellence, if there is anything worthy of praise, think about these things!” (Philippians 4:8).

Don’t let anxious, negative thoughts take over your mind. You cannot control the circumstances, butyou can always control what you think of them!

hugs n’ blessings because Monday is the perfect day to correct last week’s mistakes!

A PART OF YOUR FOLD

In my life…
I am a part of You,
and in death I am
a part of you also,
and I shall never
be without you my
God

For sunshine shall
I not see, nor the
darkness shall find
me, nor shall the
power of evil overcome
me, without you Lord
being close to me.

And when the rain falls
from the sky, and the
fires of justice from the
heavens, you shall be
with me Lord as my judge
and my redeemer.

Never shall pestilence
or disease find me alone,
for you shall always see
to my well-being, always
staying by my side.

You are the truest answer
to my life, and as I bask
in the radiance of your love
I know in life I will prosper
as you’ll never let me go.

For in life I am a part of you,
and in death, I will be…

causing coincidences and serendipities, reminding us to stop,
to look around, to believe in something else, something more.”

WILDLIFE CONSERVATION AWARENESS WITHIN LOCAL COMMUNITIES

Cheche Winnie's avatarCheche Winnie

Wildlife conservation awareness is not well known within local communities in Kenya despite the country having most of its wildlife living within the community.

Most of the local communities see wildlife as a source of income (having opportunities to sell their merchandise to the tourists) and tourists attraction, very few really have the connection with the wildlife.

human-wildlife conflict.png

Human-wildlife conflict has been a problem in the country and this maybe one of the reasons why those affected by it rarely treasure the wildlife. They see wildlife as a threat to their farms, lives and space. They have faced a lot of negative outcomes as a result of human-wildlife conflicts and thus have negative perception towards wildlife.

Most of the communities living within conservation areas invests in farms which are frequently attacked by the wildlife from time to time. This creates a strive between the farmers and Kenya Wildlife Services. In Kenya…

How to Manage Your Anxiety in an Anxious World

Dr. Eric Perry's avatarDr. Eric Perry’s Blog

Written by Dr. Perry, PhD

“Worry never robs tomorrow of its sorrow, it only saps today of its joy.” ~Leo F. Buscaglia

Millions of us are living lives disproportionately full of worry. This excessive worrying outweighs the possible impact that the occurrence of the anxiety-provoking event would have on our lives. We are not able to manage or control the thoughts that flood our minds. We are consumed with worry about family, health, work and everyday life events. While a certain amount of worry is a healthy reaction to life’s stressors, individuals with generalized anxiety disorder (GAD) have uncontrollable and excessive anxiety over such events.

According to the National Insitute of Mental Health (NIMH), anxiety disorders affect 18.1 percent of adults in the United States. This is approximately 40 million adults between the ages of 18 to 54. Research suggests that anxiety is the number one mental health issue in Northern America. According to…

Cover Reveal : A Dog Named Haku, A Holiday Story From Nepal by Margarita Engle with Amish Karanjit and Nicole Karanjit

MUST LOVE DOGS!!

CBethM's avatarNerdy Book Club

All dogs are honored with treats and decorations during an October festival in Nepal. This one belongs to Amish’s uncle.

Imagine a holiday for celebrating dogs. Not just pampered pets, but strays too. All over the city and countryside, people shower puppies and older dogs with treats, blessings, and decorations. This festival is real, but few Americans are aware of its beauty or significance.

When my Nepali son-in-law, Amish Karanjit, told me a story from his own childhood, I was awestruck. He captured my imagination. I asked him to tell it again, this time while we were enjoying a meal of curries and momo  (dumplings) at a Nepali restaurant. Our dinner companions were the noted poetry wizards Janet Wong and Sylvia Vardell. From the delighted expressions on the faces of these literacy experts, I could tell that Amish’s story belonged in a children’s book.

Together with Amish, a medical biotech…

“The greatest tragedy in life is not death, but a life without purpose.” – Dr. Myles Munroe

Who Am I?

The answer to this thought-provoking question will change your life forever because you would have to dig deep into your very foundations and question your values and principles upon which you have built your personality and formed your philosophies about several aspects of life.

Is it important to know who I am?

Well it is not important if you don’t want to become who you were made to be, if you are comfortable been led by others in every aspect of your life (lack of self-believe in yourself), if you are afraid to face the truth, if you are afraid to be honest with yourself, if you are afraid of your uniqueness, if you love to be in a bandwagon(follow-the-crowd or go-with-the-flow or no-independence-of-thought), if you love…

It is not just in some of us; it is in everyone and as we let our own light shine, we unconsciously give others permission to do the same. BEES … BEES … and More BEES …

A Bees Life.png

Sat Nam Dear Ones-

The lives of the bees are parallel to the well-being of life itself. It’s as if the bee is a blueprint for the values, processes, challenges and opportunities of evolution. It’s known that without bees there can be no life . . . they pollinate all the food supplies. And even though there’s a hierarchy at the top of a colony, the health of the entire colony depends on the equality of everyone. Every bee is respected and protected with the same reverence as a source of collective well being . . . figuratively and literally. Honoring the queen of a colony is like life honoring the feminine; it’s the ability for future generations to be born and nurtured . . . for a future to exist. This is extremely weak in today’s human communities and therefore the future is fragile.

The underlying structure of equality is also displayed in the geometry of the hive . . . the assemblage of hexagrams into combs. Hexagrams have the strength of triangles, plus an ability to span large areas without collapsing. The ancient Chinese related to the ‘hexagrams’ strength in their book of changes — The Iching. The idea was that the only constant in existence is change, and the ability to understand change was in understanding the common threads throughout the structure. For this they used the spanning strength of the hexagram . . . always the same, even in constant changes. The queen’s health and vitality is the colony’s purpose, like collective vitality, happiness and fulfillment, underlies healthy human communities. Without this in life, everything else means nothing.

Our prayer is that you realize the constant changes in life have a common thread in vitality, happiness and fulfillment; that you hold this constant as your compass in the chaos, and then use change as a variety of opportunities to improve the vitality, happiness and fulfillment for yourself and those around you . . . what goes around always comes around.

Always with Sacred Love, Blessings, Prayer & Gratitude…Sat Nam,

Guru Singh & Guruperkarma Kaur

Good morning Angels!!  I thought I would share this special message from Guru Singh & Guruperkarma Kaur.  It’s a special message for me since I was stung a week ago by a bee and my arm swelled up and it lasted for an entire week.  With that said, Bees are important and I would not want to harm them, but rather keep them safe cared for.

Enjoy and Have a Great Day ANGELS!
