During October’s Domestic Violence Awareness Month, I want to remind you all that depression tends to creep in when we are constantly berated, much less being abused with the violence that many of us see. We become trapped in a deep pit of darkness that we can’t seem to escape. But we need to remember that there is a Way out of our pits of despair. We just have to find the Key!!

Depression is a pit…
that many of us fall in.
But when we look back,
where did it all begin?
Did it start with a trauma…
that disrupted life as we know…
including anything that hurt…
like an emotional or physical blow.

A Pagan who made peace with Jesus

A Christian who adores nature

Share the pain of longing

For a child betrayed.

The pagan gives his hand

To the mother who loves Jesus

And they pray together

To God and Goddess.

Two whole beings,

Bonded by blood

Meet on a bridge of hope

Bringing twice the Power

To protect the child

Born with a quiet gift.

Muses sing in her soft red hair

Angels dance in her soft blue eyes

They surround her with their love and light.

Keeping her safe through day and night.

The cool nights spreading our

Multicolored feelings

…in a spider web of directions

And I sense your minds packed up and ready to go

Come here baby

For we still have space to grow

And don’t you know, that life

…is like a treasure chest

To find that gold you gotta dig

…through the mess

The day is dragging

Alarm clocks on an antique

…pocket watch

Yet all is not lost!

There is a trapped door

Where love

…marks the spot

Let us fall inside,

…if only for a minute

Two one way trips to Neverland

I shall dance with Wendy

And you fly

…with Peter Pan!
