I used to feel ashamed of my mental health condition, but now I refuse to let stigma and stereotypes dictate how I feel about myself. If you stigmatize me, that’s your ignorance, not my truth. Cool people, who are educated about mental illness and confident in their own mental health, don’t stigmatize. Stigma is dated, cruel and just plain wrong. Get educated about mental illness and come over to the cool side.
People with mental illnesses are not less-than. They are not damaged. They are not what you see on TV, the news or in movies. They are people; brothers, mothers, fathers, daughters… People. They are valuable, vibrant, brilliant members of your community. They are 1 in 4 people, not some freaky monster you’ve never met.

Dropping to life’s lowest valleys in our darkest moments we must shift,
Our focus to see the light that will otherwise go adrift.
Change beyond terrifying when suddenly appearing out of the blue,
Leading us to grasp tightly to the past instead of embracing the new.
In those moments leaps of faith become critical despite the miles,
Allowing perfect imperfections to galvanize infinite smiles.
Maybe challenges help us shift our focus from all of the wrong distractions to exactly where it is meant to be. With that thought, we smile on this Wednesday…

You are more than perfect, you are loved and cherished beyond belief! So, my Angels – go and look within for your Light because within is where you will find it. You ALL have it, this I know for a fact.

There is no condition that you cannot modify into something more, any more than there is any painting that you can paint and not like and just paint over it again. There are many limiting thoughts in the human environment that make it feel like it is not so, as you have these incurable illnesses, or these unchangeable conditions. But we say, they are only “unchangeable” because you believe that they are.

Today is Veterans Day, and I simply wanted to offer my thank you to all the men and women who have served or are serving our country in the Armed Forces.
This day began with Armistice Day, November 11, 1918, which ended the First World War. Congress formalized
Armistice Day as a national holiday in 1938. After World War II and The Korean War, the day was renamed Veterans Day, and it serves as a time to honor all of those who have served or are serving.
Please let it be a day of honor and thanks, not one of special sales deals. It is a day to recognize the commitment, duty, sacrifice, and service of the men and women who have served or are serving in the Armed Forces.
God Bless ALL our soldiers – past and present!

A Poem by Coyote Poetry
I sit on the hill in the midst of a wildflower field.
Small flowers moving in the gentle breeze.
I sit at bay from a good friend grave.
I came to tell him that, I was alright.
His death broke me down.
I stayed home and he went to war alone.
We were comrades in many battles for 12 years.
Raised our children together.
He joined the National Guard and I was tire of war.
The howling storm of war.
Took my friend on three tours in Iraq.
A roll-over in Iraq took a father of two beautiful girl .
On the final journey.
I hear the leader’s telling me.
God is on our side.
