Once there was a tiny
firefly who wanted to
glow upon this world.
A task impossible for
one lonesome bulb.
Every night she shined
so bright yet she never
became a star. Until all
her little friends joined in
to illuminate the dark.
One firefly alone could
never change a world,
but thousands working
together can create a
universe here on Earth.
My wife found this image in Google and asked me to write a poem about the Firefly who wanted to be a star.

When my friends and I on the #CNC16 trip visited Cedar Point a few weeks ago, we got up bright and early to experience the Sunrise Thrills VIP Tour. Not only did we get to see the park from the top of Valravn, we also got incredible coaster-nerd access to Top Thrill Dragster, Millennium Force and Maverick.
223 feet above Cedar Point!
If you are at all interested in a bird’s eye view of an amazing park, or just want to geek out on some incredible roller coasters, this tour is for you. However, this post is not about the tour specifically.
It’s about sweat.

365 Moments of Grace…

What does Grace mean to me? It means being connected to our higher self and to Source and the miracles that unfold from that. It is being blessed beyond belief in even the most simple little things.
From an early age I always knew I would write books, back then and even till recently that thought terrified me – how could I write a whole book?? The reason I got into blogging was a way to share my musings, without needing to conform to a book… the other option is in a book collaboration.

Fervid waters of a love unborn
stir shadows in a twilight dance.
Cheek flushed beneath a nectared kiss,
heart ravished with singular glance.
Repose her upon the horizon pure
over blooms of lavender sheen
to be searched beneath an open sky
as she descends into oblivion serene.

Cursed by thirst unquenchable
beneath a blazing sky,
Gaze distorted by burning mist
that wells within her eyes.
A soul that weeps before mankind,
for truths they’ve never seen–
of jaded hearts, of bleeding flesh,
of wounds that lie between.
An angel to the suffering,
a guardian to the soul,
a seraph who has fallen,
sunk within beguiling shoal.
Who will deliver this fragile one
whose eyes, too worn to cry?
To lift her up on mended wings
into the blazing sky?
