Angelic Waterfalls

These are crazy times we’re in Angels and in order to be at peace we have to get out of the house if only for a run, a walk, or see some beauty …

My apologies that it’s been a while since I’ve posted.

Always with Light and Love… always. You never know where you’ll see an Angel… xox

PROTECT OUR WINTERS ~ $1 for $1 Match When You Donate To Protect Our Winters

via $1 for $1 Match When You Donate To Protect Our Winters

Protect Our Winters (POW) is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit. Founded by professional snowboarder Jeremy Jones in 2007, POW turns passionate outdoor people into effective climate advocates. POW leads a community of athletes, thought pioneers and forward-thinking business leaders to affect systemic political solutions to climate change.

The past decade has been the warmest on record. 2016 was the  hottest year ever recorded and 2017 is already on track top it. Meanwhile, the northern hemisphere has already lost a million square miles of spring snowpack since 1970—an area three times the size of Texas.  Snow levels are rising in elevation and winters are shorter. Climate change is already  affecting winter.

By 2007, pro snowboarder Jeremy Jones found that more and more resorts he’d always counted on for good riding were closed due to lack of snow. Something was clearly going on, and he felt the need to act. But he couldn’t find any organizations focused on mobilizing the snowsports community on climate—there was a gap between the impacts that climate change was already having on our mountains, and any organized action being taken to address it. And so Jeremy founded Protect Our Winters.

Soon afterwards, we brought on other concerned pro athletes, individuals, resorts and winter sports companies. Since then, Protect Our Winters has grown from a kernel of an idea into a worldwide network of over 130,000 supporters – a social movement on climate, designed to activate a passionate community and create the political will for meaningful action by state and federal policymakers.

And, while POW’s earliest supporters were renowned athletes and respected corporations, the movement quickly grew to include the wider outdoor sports community  as their playgrounds and livelihoods also depend on healthy winters.

This was the perfect group to give a national voice to outdoor sports, an industry that supports 7.6 million+ jobs and creates $887 billion in economic revenue. While the fossil fuel lobby may outspend environmentalists 20-1 in Washington, we share a passion that crosses party lines, a unique perspective that de-politicizes any climate discussion, and an industry with an economic impact that can’t be ignored.

Our key formula for engaging 60 million+ outdoor sports enthusiasts globally: relevance and authenticity. Though we can dress up for meetings, in the end we are pro athletes, dirtbags and diehards; for us, winter is not just a passion, but a way of life.

Right now, we have the luxury of worrying about how climate change might impact the outdoor industry. Right now, we get to help dictate the outcome rather than react to a foregone conclusion. If we sit on our hands for the next two decades, we won’t be worried about powder days, tourism or having fun. We’ll be worried about the stability of our environment, our jobs and our economy.

We All Need Winter.

Happy long weekend my Angels!!

CAN YOU SAY “I LIVED” AT THE END OF THE DAY?

CAN YOU SAY “I LIVED” AT THE END OF THE DAY?

My Angels out there both near and far, have you enjoyed your weekend?  I wanted to share this amazing video (I hope it plays – LOL) by One Republic entitled, I Lived!  Listen to the words and let me know if you can say – – I Lived…  I know life and its many circumstances can get in the way, but we must make time – make the time to LIVE!

Life is a gift and worth exploring my Angels, worth celebrating, worth loving and worth cherishing. So, no matter where you are, what you want to do or where you want to go in life, get outdoors and enjoying everything this life has to offer, have no regrets, and by all means – – “dance as though no one is watching, love as though you have never loved before,  sing as though no one can hear you, and live as though heaven is on earth.”  Me, I LOVE to dance like no one is watching! 😉

Always with LIFE, LIGHT, POSITIVITY, STRENGTH, BEING THE WARRIOR WITHIN, GUIDANCE, and LOVE!

HAVE YOU LEARNED WHAT YOU NEED TO YET?

HAVE YOU LEARNED WHAT YOU NEED TO YET?

Have you ever wondered why it seems as though you keep either reliving an event or an episode through others or in your mind?  Well, my dear Angels, as we all know, we are all on this earth and in this life to learn and/or relearn things until we get them right.  I think you know what I mean.  Eventually, as with anything, if you do something more than once, you finally have that “ah ha” moment wherein you say to yourself, now I know why I should not have done that in the first place or I should have done it this way to begin with.  Life is a learning ground, so go out and live it, enjoy it, and by all means, soak up all the knowledge that you can and ask many questions because how else are we to learn and appreciate all the things this life has to offer.

ANGELIC LOVE IS EVERYWHERE

ANGELIC LOVE IS EVERYWHERE

No matter where you are in your life, no matter the journey, behold of the view and Angels that surround you.  Take this photo here by photographer Joshua Weinfeld, this photo, as you can see, is of a camp site where the view just above this tent is spectacular.  Now, we do know that there are Angels within and around this tent (we are all Angels), but take note of the beautiful Angelic light and Angelic love that are surrounding this area and letting their presence be known.  I don’t know about you, but I have no doubts about our Angelic love and Angelic light.  I don’t know about you, but I can see and feel the love and not just Angelic love in this photo.

Enjoy Life, Be Weird!    (REBLOG)

Like I always say, life is too short to live inside yourself or your house at all times.  We all must wake up our inner being and get out and enjoy life.  Get outdoors and enjoy the little things in life that make you smile and expand your heart.  Please, for what it’s worth – do not sit around and say “if only I had done this or that” and do not sit around and have regrets!  Never have regrets because when you get older you will wish you had taken those little chances, those overnight or two day trips, or just gotten out that afternoon to go to the beach or go meet up with friends.

THE ART OF MANLINESS

THE ART OF MANLINESS

Happy Friday my lovely Angels!  I thought I would share an interesting bit of information: I was provided the below website the other day from a great friend while we were on the train headed to work as we were discussing what it is to be a man and the different things men have to do in life, such as tie a tie, prepare for a date, etiquette, etc.  And, while I am not a man myself, I found this to be very interesting and thought I might be able to learn a few things myself.  So, without further adue, below is the website for the Art of Manliness, which I find to be very interesting and possibly helpful for those of all generations, but mainly the younger in which to learn many aspects of becoming a man and what it means.

Please feel free to share your thoughts.

PUFFY PEACE! ~ JUST BREATHE ~

PUFFY PEACE! ~ JUST BREATHE ~

While looking above into the great outdoors and the beautiful puffy clouds above, I can feel the peace, I can feel the love, I can feel my Angels surrounding me and guiding me to be here in this space and at this particular moment so I can experience this magickal feeling of Angelic Heaven on earth.

I can only imagine the words that went through the mind of photographer Joshua Weinfeld while taking such a magnificent photo of the puffy clouds above.  You do realize that each and every moment in time and space is a gift. What is a gift?  You know what it is, but let me see if I can put a little spin on it…the person with whom you love and created life with, your furry babies, your friends, your family (be they immediate or best friends being family over time), your breathe each day, your first steps out of bed, and/or just the opening of your eyes in the morning.  Each of these things and many, many more are gifts and are not to be taken for granted.  Do not take for granted that which is in front of you because it can be gone in the blink of the eye.

Angel Clouds

I say this only to remind all of us to live life, get out and explore, cherish your wives/husbands/children/family/friends, and by all means… keep the faith (no matter what your faith is) that all will be well, believe in yourself and your Angels above (why not?), talk to them – ask them for guidance and thank them for all you have and/or will receive.  Just know, you are not in this alone for we here at Enlightenment Angels are always here for you and pray for all our loved ones/friends/family/blogging friends/many, many more and furry babies all over.

We love you all, wish you happiness and always do this with LIFE, LIGHT, POSITIVITY, STRENGTH, BEING THE WARRIOR WITHIN, GUIDANCE, and LOVE!

SPREAD YOUR WINGS MY LOVELY ANGELS!

Spread Your Wings My Lovely Angels!

“Although you may feel intimidated by the prospect of change, and by the thought of moving past your comfort zone, you’re ready to fly high. Welcome new opportunities, and know that it’s safe to follow your heart and dreams. Keep your focus upon love, service, and spirit, and avoid naysayers or skeptics. Remember that you inspire others with your story of turning challenges into victories.”

Working with Archangel Ariel: Ariel loves all living beings, and gladly helps them all. She’s a master manifestor, and she’s especially supportive of people who are healers, teachers, and service workers. She’s very partial to the environmental area, and she works closely with the nature angels to protect and heal animals—particularly the birds, animals, and fish who live near or in the water. One way to work with Ariel is to participate in environmental work, including picking up trash near a lake, stream, or ocean; donating time or money to an environmental cause; or switching to environmentally friendly cleaning supplies.

THE ENLIGHTENMENT OF CANCER ~ PART VIIII

THE ENLIGHTENMENT OF CANCER ~ PART VIIII

3-19-10

Thinking about Bobby, Always. Second surgery day at 9:30 a.m. I have to be there at 7:30 a.m. Rob and I did not get out of there until 3:00 ish. My implant surgery today as well as the removal of my port.

** I have to say that the port they give you from the very beginning affects you in many ways.  First you can’t believe you have to have this port for medications on your chest.  It looks like a bump on your chest and you try to cover it up with clothing, but nothing really works because you always know it’s there.  It can be uncomfortable at times, but you eventually get used to it.  After a while, it becomes your best friend – so to speak – because all the medications get injected into your blood stream thru here and it makes life easier suing the port.  The port has become your saving grace and now by the time you are finished with your treatments and surgeries, it is now time for one last surgery and the port to be removed.  You have mixed feelings about this because you have been on medications for so long and this port, this thing/lump on your chest has been there for you and made the process of the medications easier.  You really don’t want to let it go, but in order to move on, you must.  It’s really a sad moment in time and a bit scary.

6-10

Third and last surgery today. I had to be there at 11:00 when the surgery was at 1:00. Rob & I did not get out of there until 7:00 p.m. I was not as nervous as the last two surgeries.

8-10

I have had many check ups with regard to my implants, but as of July I was pretty much done. Oh did I forget to mention that when you have a double mastectomy, you have just the implants under your skin.  No more areola or nipple. So, in order to make everything look as natural as possible, skin is taken from somewhere else on your body and attached here.  Another fun surgery, right? But, Dr. Bosshardt did a great job as usual.  I couldn’t ask for a better doctor.

9-2010

I started paddling with WOW, Warriors on Water Breast Cancer Survivor Dragon Boating Team. What an awesome experience with a great bunch of ladies. Our first competition is on 10-16-10. A lot of fun and a great learning experience. Love those ladies!!!

Warriors on Water Breast Cancer Survivor Dragon Boating TeamOur team is Warriors on Water and our mission is to create, inspire, and sustain a community of breast cancer survivors who share in the empowering, therapeutic, and symbolic sport of dragon boating.

9-10 to 9-12-10

Attended camp this weekend at the Faces of Courage camp with the ladies of WOW, Warriors on Water. Had a great time, met a lot of great ladies and had a lot of great and new experiences such as body paint, drums, meditation, and just a relaxing time away from phones, computers and life in general.

Faces of Courage – We are a non-profit organization located in the Tampa Bay area that offers free camps and events for women, men and children with cancer and blood illnesses. Though we are located in Florida, some of our camps are attended by women, men and children from all over the country. We strive to provide a judgment-free, comfortable atmosphere where women, men and children can relax and just have fun.

10-18

Well all has been going pretty well. I have been feeling good and getting used to my new breasts. I found that a month or two ago I was having pain in both my knees so I let Dr. Kunta know who sent me for a Bone Scan. Well the results were on 10-5-10 wherein Dr. K said that my knees were good (I could run a marathon), but what about the pain in my hip, my left hip. I said “what?” I am here for knee pain not hip pain. Nonetheless, the scan picked up something on my left hip so I was sent out for an MRI as soon as possible.

That was on 10-5-10 when the scheduler at Dr. Kunta’s office was given the task of scheduling me an MRI ASAP. Well it was 10-15 and I had no word so I called them to say “where is my appt?” She was clueless so I had to remind her that Dr. Kunta wanted it ASAP and it was now 10-15 and I had no word? Needless to say I got a call back from her within 20 minutes with an MRI appt scheduled for 10-18 at 9:00 at Horizen Open MRI on West 50 in Ocoee. I went in today for my appt and was there for 3 1⁄2 hours and in so much pain from the position I was lying in. It was awful. I get my results on Wednesday, 10-20.

** I have no patience for incompetent people who do not pay attention and take care of Cancer patients as they are supposed to!

11-7

A new chapter … posing nude while being body painted by artist Lisa Scholder at her home in Tampa, FL. Rob came with me, Peggy Sherry of Faces of Courage was there as well as photographer Jim Webb.  What great people!  Jim was interviewing me while videoing the process, he let Rob use him camera and take pictures for him of the process and it all felt natural.  Being nude in front of others after all I had been thru was actually liberating.  I didn’t really care! All for a good cause I say – and it was!

4-17-2011

Wow! I cannot believe it has been a year and a half since being told I have Cancer. I am doing well. I am still with the Cancer Survivor Dragon Boat Team, WOW – Warriors on Water. I have been for almost 10 months now. I am feeling better, getting used to my implants, trying to workout more and paddling. Other than the mental aspects that come later, all is well.

The mental aspects – yes – no one really talks to you about that or mentions it.  This is a very long process and something that affects you for a long time to come.  It never really goes away, Cancer is always in the back of your mind.

7-14-11

To say the least this is has been quite a few years for me. As of this month Rob accepted a position in California. So, without further adieu he is being transferred there with Universal Hollywood. This means ALL NEW DOCS for me. Oh lord!!

Our baby Labrador, Tucker, has recently passed (God Bless him and his big heart & soul)! We buried him at the top of the hill in the back yard of our home. He was supposed to come with us whenever we decided to move anywhere! He is always with us though – I can feel it. I sure miss my big boy!

8-11-11

Rob leaves this day for a cross country trip to California since he starts his job on the 18th. So, I am here alone with Cleo & Caesar and my family of course, but alone nonetheless.

10-1-11

Yeah! We finally rented the house in Clermont so now I am free to go be with Rob. The new tenants move in on the 15th so I will pack up and move in with dad. God love him. We both need the company. Ha! Ha! He has two cats and so do we. This should be fun!

10-8-11

Traveling to Ybor City to attend the Ybor City Art Show to promote our Bodies of Courage Calendar for 2012 with Lisa Scholder and Peggy Sherry. You remember, the one I posed nude for.  Great Breast Cancer survivors in the calendar including myself. Lisa did a great job. What a great artist and a great experience for myself! I absolutely loved it and to see the calendar completed is awesome. So if anything is taken away from this experience it is this: Never say you can’t do something! Life is too short not to at least try something at least once. And then and only then can you say that you don’t like it. No excuses! Be daring, be fearful, be … who you were meant to be! That is the one thing Cancer has taught me.

10-14

Beach weekend with one the best cousin a girl could ask for and another Cancer Survivor. Robert Ellrich, Jr (Bobby) who is a fighter beyond belief! He is so strong, so fearful, so brave! I love him so much! I might be strong and might have helped him along the way, but he has helped me more than he knows. I might help him to fight, but let me tell you ladies and gentlemen he helps me to fight and to carry on the fight! We fight together! We look at Cancer and laugh and say “Is this all you
got!” We have faith, we have life, we have love, we have each other!

10-25

It has been 2 years since my visit with Dr. Lewis (my OB) wherein she wanted me to go ahead and get my mammogram and whom I will say with all my heart who saved my life! I go today for a check up as usual. This will be my last visit with her since I am moving to California. She is so nice, so caring, so sweet, such a great doctor who I know I can call a friend and call should I need anything.

Leaving my doctors is hard. They all saved me and give me strength. It hurts to leave! I must be honest, I worry about leaving. Will I find doctors I California with such a good bedside manner as I found here in Clermont, FL. I pray I do as I will not settle for less. My life is too valuable to me to put in the hands of someone without heart and a soul.

11-1

Today I met with my favorite Oncologist, Dr. Kunta. What a great doctor! He has taken care of me, made me laugh and has been there through all my Chemotherapy sessions. I will miss him, Jade and Billisha. Jade is the receptionist whom I have come to depend on and love as she has always been there to help me in a moments notice. Help like that is hard to find much less help from a person with a big heart and a caring soul. And last, but not least, Billisha. Billisha and Laura (another nurse who is no longer there) helped to take care of me when I was in for my Chemo sessions. They always made sure I had my meds before I came in and then made sure I was comfortable once I got there. I know that is there job, but they always took it one or two steps more making it more than there job, they really care and you can’t put a price on that. They took great care of me and Rob because Rob as you know by now, went with me every time I went to a doctor appt or a chemo session – every single time.

My checkup and numbers came out well and Dr. Kunta was very happy with the way things looked. God bless him as I wish him and his staff well. Thank you for everything.

11-13

New adventures await! While I am a survivor in every way, shape and form, I look forward to the new adventures, challenges and anything else God and life has in store for me. I will not settle for less and will triumphant in spirit, heart and soul no matter what! I am a fighter, we are all fighters, we are all brothers and sisters in Cancer and through God our Father for with him and through him all things are possible. My faith, fight, family and good doctors brought me through this and I am here to tell you all that life is worth fighting for. Love is worth fighting for. Family is worth fighting for. You yourself are worth fighting for.

Thank you for reading my journal of my experience thru the Breast Cancer process.   I hope this brings light to help others understand how this affects an individual being diagnosed with Cancer and how if affects his or her spirit and his or her determination to fight such an awful disease .

BACK TO NATURE and HISTORY

There comes a time when you just need to get away and go back to nature.  We did that this weekend.  We traveled five hours out of town to Inyo National Forest for a camping trip, but managed to make a few stops along the way in which to enjoy the scenery as well as a bit of history.  Below are a few photos:  (one is of myself at Red Rock Canyon; website info.: http://www.parks.ca.gov/?page_id=631 and the other is of Rob at Fossil Falls; website info.: http://www.blm.gov/ca/st/en/fo/ridgecrest/fossil.html).

RRC        FF

These are two amazing places in which to visit should you get a chance.  Being out in nature helps you recapture your perspective on the history of nature/mother Earth and your appreciation of life and how small we really are.  What an amazing adventure but also a sad one as we stumbled upon another historic place, the Manzanar National Historic Site; website info.: http://www.nps.gov/manz/learn/historyculture/japanese-americans-at-manzanar.htm…

Manzanar_Flag (Manzanar Flag – Photo from 1942-1945)

Without knowing it, we stumbled upon something we had only seen on television via the History Channel.  I couldn’t believe it and when I realized where we were, my stomach was in knots.  So, with that, I’m going to leave it up to you to visit the website should you not be aware of or had heard of such a place and come to your own conclusions regarding such a place.  But, for me – I choose not to go any further into it.

Our trip this weekend turned into a lot of history, but it was spent with great friends and the need we all had to get away from cars, cell phones, televisions, radios, trains, and lots and lots of people.  It was great to get out and reconnect with the wild, with nature and with friends.  The only thing missing was a lake or a stream.

And, to top it off ~ ~ a very sweet and courageous young lady I know who has been fighting liver disease for quite a few years now received her new liver this weekend and is doing well.

So my Angels, stay positive, hold your heads high and remember that though this life is short, we must learn to cherish it, remember where we all come from, remember those from the past and say a prayer for them and remember how they all fought hard in one way or another for us all to be where we are today.  We all have our Angels around us – just look up and smile at those clouds, smile at those stars and let that feeling in ~ that feeling of completeness because you are here at this particular place in time and are able to enjoy such a gift.

As Always ~ With LIFE, LIGHT, POSITIVITY, STRENGTH, BEING THE WARRIOR WITHIN, GUIDANCE, and LOVE!  Thank you for reading – Cheers!
