Let’s Walk

Angelic Waterfalls

These are crazy times we’re in Angels and in order to be at peace we have to get out of the house if only for a run, a walk, or see some beauty …

My apologies that it’s been a while since I’ve posted.

Always with Light and Love… always. You never know where you’ll see an Angel… xox

Light & Love Be With You ALL

Good Day Angels…

I wanted to let you all know that I am sending out prayers for you all as I always do, but especially in these crazy times. Please be safe and stay healthy.

Always with LOTS of Light and Love.

CYRTOPLEURA COSTATA (ANGEL CLAM WINGS)

Good day Angels!

I was wondering as I came across this amazing creature if any of you have ever heard of the Cyrtopleura Costata?  Well, if you have not heard of it – here is a bit of information on this Angelic creature…

“Cyrtopleura Costata is a bivalve mollusc in the family Pholadidae. It is found in shallow parts of the northwest Atlantic, living in the seabed, where it burrows through sand and mud to a depth of up to 3 feet (0.91 m)

Cyrtopleura costata has a pair of brittle, asymmetric white valves and can grow to about 7 inches (180 mm) in length. The anterior end is elongated and has a rounded point which is used for digging through the substrate. The posterior end is truncated and rounded and near the beak has an apophysis, a wing-like flange, which helps provide an attachment for the foot muscles. On the anterior side of the beak, the margin is smooth and bent slightly upwards. The whole valve has finely sculptured radial ribs which intercept with a series of concentric growth rings parallel with the margin. In the living animal, the valves are covered by the periostracum, a thin grey protective layer of protein which is part of the shell. This layer has usually been stripped away by sand and surf by the time that the empty shells are washed up on the beach, and the valves are usually found singly, because the muscles that hold them together are weak. Internally, the live mollusc has a powerful muscular foot and a pair of long, fused siphons. These siphons are unable to retract back into the shell and as a result, the two valves permanently gape apart.

Cyrtopleura costata lives beneath the surface of the sea bed. It is able to bore through sand, mud, wood, clay and even soft rock using a twisting motion of its pointed, anterior end assisted by jets of water ejected from the mantle cavity. It is a filter feeder. The siphons extend to the surface of the substrate and water is drawn in through one and expelled through the other with microalgae and zooplankton being filtered out as the water passes through the gills. Respiration takes place at the same time. Cilia then waft the food particles to the mouth.

Spawning usually takes place in summer. Gametes are passed out of the exhalent siphon and fertilisation takes place externally. After hatching, eggs develop into veliger larvae which are planktonic. After 16 to 21 days these undergo metamorphosis into a pediveliger stage and settle out onto a soft substrate such as sand. There they become juveniles and start burrowing.”

Is this not the most beautiful thing you’ve ever seen?  There are always sign near and far and always around us.  Be open, have no doubt, have no fears, stay positive, and be around only positive individuals as negativity only bring us and our energy down.

Stay Blessed Angels and know you are always Loved!

Always with Light and Love!

BACK TO NATURE and HISTORY

There comes a time when you just need to get away and go back to nature.  We did that this weekend.  We traveled five hours out of town to Inyo National Forest for a camping trip, but managed to make a few stops along the way in which to enjoy the scenery as well as a bit of history.  Below are a few photos:  (one is of myself at Red Rock Canyon; website info.: http://www.parks.ca.gov/?page_id=631 and the other is of Rob at Fossil Falls; website info.: http://www.blm.gov/ca/st/en/fo/ridgecrest/fossil.html).

RRC        FF

These are two amazing places in which to visit should you get a chance.  Being out in nature helps you recapture your perspective on the history of nature/mother Earth and your appreciation of life and how small we really are.  What an amazing adventure but also a sad one as we stumbled upon another historic place, the Manzanar National Historic Site; website info.: http://www.nps.gov/manz/learn/historyculture/japanese-americans-at-manzanar.htm…

Manzanar_Flag (Manzanar Flag – Photo from 1942-1945)

Without knowing it, we stumbled upon something we had only seen on television via the History Channel.  I couldn’t believe it and when I realized where we were, my stomach was in knots.  So, with that, I’m going to leave it up to you to visit the website should you not be aware of or had heard of such a place and come to your own conclusions regarding such a place.  But, for me – I choose not to go any further into it.

Our trip this weekend turned into a lot of history, but it was spent with great friends and the need we all had to get away from cars, cell phones, televisions, radios, trains, and lots and lots of people.  It was great to get out and reconnect with the wild, with nature and with friends.  The only thing missing was a lake or a stream.

And, to top it off ~ ~ a very sweet and courageous young lady I know who has been fighting liver disease for quite a few years now received her new liver this weekend and is doing well.

So my Angels, stay positive, hold your heads high and remember that though this life is short, we must learn to cherish it, remember where we all come from, remember those from the past and say a prayer for them and remember how they all fought hard in one way or another for us all to be where we are today.  We all have our Angels around us – just look up and smile at those clouds, smile at those stars and let that feeling in ~ that feeling of completeness because you are here at this particular place in time and are able to enjoy such a gift.

As Always ~ With LIFE, LIGHT, POSITIVITY, STRENGTH, BEING THE WARRIOR WITHIN, GUIDANCE, and LOVE!  Thank you for reading – Cheers!

No Words Necessary

In life you have those moments when there are no words necessary.  Nature is at its finest, the birds are chirping, the air is clear and clean, the sun is shining, and you know deep down that there are, in fact, Angels around at this time because nothing could be more beautiful and peaceful.  Those times are priceless!  Don’t you agree…

Grand Canyon
Grand Canyon

We hiked that day down into the Grand Canyon, across the canyon and back up.  Yes, it took us all day and into the early evening.  Wow, what a journey.  There were more miles than I was anticipating, but we did it.  We were prepared, had plenty of water and food.  Rob is always prepared for adventures, especially those that take him outdoors.  So, I wasn’t too worried.

May your days be filled with light, love and blessings.  Cheers my dear friends.

TREE of LIFE and INSPIRATION

Happy Tuesday my lovely angels!  Welcome to another beautiful week in July, 2015.

Don’t you just love nature!  I certainly do.  Just to be out in it and breathe in the fresh air a well as listening to all the amazing animals that surround you.

I found this amazing photo online yesterday and thought I would share it with you.  What do you see?   You never know where an angel might be and/or show up to let you know they are present.  So, keep you eyes open because you might be surprised.

Tree Angel

Have an awesome day ladies and gentlemen and thank you for spending some time with me.  Please feel free to share my blog posts with anyone you think might be in need of a little enlightenment.
